We have at present a OPSManager 6.10 and we will have a Enterprise Manager. We will make a full collect of all our systems. However we will lose all the fields comments. Do you have an idea to recover the fields comments of the OPS to send them in Enterprise?

You should be able to save the Database on your current Ops Manager and then restore it into Ops Manager on the new Enterprise Manager Platform. There is a minimum version that you can do this from which is in the release notes. You may need to upgrade to latest version 6 first !

I'm not sure how practical it would be just to upgrade the DB, my understanding is the major difference in OpsMan between release 6 and 7 is the database is changed from Oracle to MySQL. Either way, you should be able to do a csv export of the current OpsMan directory and use TASMAC to import the data into the new OpsMan. How many Directory entries are we talking about here?

Nevermind, I checked the handbook for Ops 7.5, there's a DB conversion utility included that will convert the DB for you. Doesn't say anything about if the Comment fields are somehow left out, but again, as a backup, run a CSV export of your database, and you should be able to use a TASMAC import to fix anything that gets hosed up in the conversion.
