Field size limit Access 365

Is there a way around the maximum field size of 255 characters in Access 365. The old Memo field allowed this.
 

Yes, but the Long Text field is still limited to 255 characters.
 
Not according to the info in the link combo provided:

Long Text In .accdb files, the Long Text field works the same as the Memo field of old. That is, it can store up to [blue]about a gigabyte of text[/blue], even though controls on forms and reports can only display the first [blue]64,000 characters[/blue]. You can set Long Text fields to display Rich Text, which includes formatting like bold and underline.

Ah, apologies, I tried importing the data again and got the full length using Long Text. I have two sets of data to import and then merge so will check if this caused the reduction to 255 characters. Either that or plain human error. Many thanks.
 

Yes confirmed, second go gives full lengths. Apologies again.
