Hello,

2 questions:

1/ In version 7.0, is it possible to have field name length > 10 characters in a free table (not linked to a .DBC file)

2/ Using the 'Install Express' package supplied with FoxPro, when an istallation is done, the program doesn't appears into the programs list. This means it's impossible to remove it with the XP program for ading or deleting programs. Top of that, when I want to install an other version, the installer program tells me it's impossible because an other version is already installed. If I delete the previously installed package with the explorer, it continues to refuse to install the new one.

Thanks for your HELP

Francis

...field name length > 10 characters in a free table ...
No. Only if it's part of a DBC

...the program doesn't appears into the programs list.
Are you sure you set up the 'Configure the Target System' section properly?
If you set up the shortcuts and folders properly, they should be in there.

...an other version is already installed...
Under 'General Information', you need to select 'Product Code', then click the 'Generate GUID' button.
Do the same for 'Upgrade Code'
There needs to be unique IDs or IS will think you're just overwriting. It's a safety net.
