I am structuring a 3 part form in Crystal. Specificaly it is a IRS Form 1098.

The form is in sections and each section prints a new set of data.

My problem is I can not seem to get the fields to line up and stay in place so they align to the 1098 form.

In the past with sectioned forms I have used subreports. I can't do that here because a subreport will start from the top of the data set again. So I end up with three sections of identical data.

I have tried several of the formulas etc. from the Crystal Support Site and none of those has worked....

The form needs to break at every 3.625 inches.

Sections won't print a new set of data, but a subreport can depending upon the parameters passed.

Rather than trying to describe technical information with text, try posting:

OK... I manually manipulated the fields around. They are falling into line, but there has to be a better way to do this.

According to this post; thread149-40308 , there may not be another way...

NOW my problem is the first page prints fine. Every subsequent page print a full inch lower.

My printer is set to print directly to the printer, Chrystal advised this when I was having a problem with fields floating from page to page...

I checked the page layout in preview and I don't see an orphaned group footer at the top of the next page....
