Well... Going crazy with all this. Hope you can help me..

Trying to get CIL through Compact Flash. Just adquired a new NIU2 with CF whose only purpose is CIL (it's not System Card).

I have a singular problem with the directory. As ALEX says with command FIDII:
"The directory shall not be created directly under the node name or directly under USR1, USR2, .... USR8, because in that case the directory will disappear at the restart of the I/O board."

So the only option I can see is using an existing directory as USR1, but when I do de CLDFII an "NOT ACCEPTED - PATH NOT ASSIGNED" error appears!
I also tryed a new directory on SYSN (i.e.), but the same error appears.

The commands entered are these:

CNHUI:BPOS=2-0-10;
IOBPI:BPOS=2-0-10,NODE=mynode;

CLDFI:FILE=myfile,PATH=/mynode/USR1,USER=CIL-1,PRIO=A;
>NOT ACCEPTED - PATH NOT ASSIGNED

FIDII:pATH=/mynode/SYS/CIL;
>EXECUTED
CLDFI:FILE=myfile,PATH=/mynode/USYS/CIL,USER=CIL-1,PRIO=A;
>NOT ACCEPTED - PATH NOT ASSIGNED

Curiously, using the standard directory of System NIU but in the new NIU:

FIDII:pATH=/mynode/USR1/ACS;
>EXECUTED

FIDII:pATH=/mynoed/USR1/ACS/CIL;
>EXECUTED

CLDFI:FILE=TARIF,PATH=/mynode/ACS/CIL,USER=CIL-1,PRIO=A;
>EXECUTED !!! But it will dissapear when I reset the NIU2 !!

I also tryed doing the IOSII, as ALEX says on "CIL buffer on HDU", but seems it does nothing (?¿?):
IOSII:NODE=mynode,IODEV=FLASH,BTYPE=ATA,SUBFS=BUFFER;

By the way, using the standard directory, works fine until the NIU does not accept ftp connections, so I have to make the reset and all the data are lost!! (that's why I try to do it on another directory). Of course, the action of not accept ftp connections is another strange problem (one more), so if you know why, just let me know!

As you see, I'm a little bit lost. Hope someone with experience can help me...

Thx in advance!!

Well... I answer my self:
After IOSII, have to make FICRI and FIMOI.
Then I can use the standard /mynode/USR1/ACS/CIL without disappearing after resetting the NIU.

I will keep on watching if ftp connections go down.

Hi

I should say that using /mynode/USR1/ACS/CIL is not a good idea either.
You should use /mynode/USR1 as standard path for the CIL.
We experienced problems specially on board restart that does not recover the full path. Ericsson alos recommend to put every file under /mynode/USR1 to avoid such problem.
The recommandation for FIDII is strange , but as we have followed it for the first CIL on HDU, I should say that it create problems if you follow it.

Best regards

Thank you very much. I will follow your recommendation!

By the way that the problem with the board was an IP conflict (NIU2 MAC was not reserved on DHCP pool so a Laptop took its IP).

Thx again and Merry Xmas!

Hi,
It sounds like You'r flash isn't recognized by the NIU2
card. That means that You are using the NIU2 cache
memory which of course is lost at reset.

Procedure:
IOBPI to tell there is a card.
IOSII to tell there is a filesystem.
FICRI to make the file system readable
FIMOI to mount the file system.
