Fiber Expansion Questions 1

I have a location that has a Compact system, with 21 telephones. They want to expand into two additional buildings with their data network and telephone system. The furthest building is 300 to 350 yards away. They want to add telephones in each additional building (exact number not determined at this time) and keep all the phones on the same system. I'll have to install fiber between buildings for the data network anyway, so for the telephones I thought about changing the Compact to a MICS, adding a 6-port fiber expansion card in the MICS, and then putting station expansion modules in each of the additional buildings. However, in this configuration, the fiber signals would obviously have to travel further out of the MICS than if I were installing an expansion unit nearby. Which leads me to a couple of questions:
Does anyone know if the fiber expansion module put out sufficient signal strength to travel over 1000 feet? If they do, will I need to install multi-mode or single mode fiber between buildings. I can get data switches that will use either one, but I don't know if the MICS is particular. And finally, what type of (fiber) connectors are required to match the fiber expansion cards? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

You need a pair of these for each building/module.

Looks like exactly what I need Curleycord. As always, I really appreciate the info. Thank you!!

Had a veternarion who bought a building at edge of his property and wanted to use as office, Had MIcs system, his brother set up an ant, on main building and receiver dish on new office building. This extended his existing network to new building, we also used citel extender and branch office mods. which plugged into network added 8 phones and cross connected .66 blocks which were plugged into citel mods. on amp. cables. The far building was over 1000' feet away. I used refurbished citel as this is older tech. You would need 2 sets of ant. 1 office extender of correct size and 2 branch mods. Also need to have enough extra capacity on Mics for extra extensions. This was a first for me and except for selling him extra phones have never had issue with system in last 5 yesrs .

I wouldn't even consider using the CICS. Too close to maxing it out.
