FF7 on rs/6000 43p

We have a old rs6000 43p it gives us error FF7 in the led code i search for this led code and it just giving me crc mismatch ..

is this a hardware issue we ran aix 5.1 on the machine ..how can we recover with this error or we need ibm support to repalce anything?

Leave it powered on for a while, a few hours, or replace the battery.

Then re-flash the firmware and you should be ok.

Download microcode by machine type and model

Select your machine type and model in the first search box, download the readme and the frimware.

is your rs6000 a

43P-140 (White box)

or

43P-150 (Black box) ?


Do you see on the screen something or RS stops
before giving signal to Video ?

If the machine shows you icons, press F1 after
keyboard icon is shown (if the fw is almost old,
it is graphical; if it is newer is textual, then
enter in sms menu, maby "1").
