Feedback while paging

Recently installed a MICS system and we are getting feedback(loud screeching noise) when paging. We are using the sets only (no overhead speakers) and get feedback on all phones. We have lowered the volume to the lowest setting on all the phones but the problem persists. Has anyone run into this problem before?

sets are to close to one another..turn paging off on sets with close neighbors also ..also make sure we are initiating page thru handset not hands free speaker

Thank you for the information. It is a small office and there are two desks that are back to back, with the phones less than five feet apart. I will let you know what happens after the holidays when we get back in the office.
