Hello all...

I am trying to set up a conference situation for tomorrow. I need to have 2 people at 2 different phones and both need to be on speaker. My problem is that when both phones are on speaker, I get terrible feedback between the 2. The phones are both 5410's with AGC turned off. They are connected to the same IP 406 system. They are located about 15' apart and are in 2 different rooms.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Garry

No, no, walking 13' and having a conversation is the best way!

Reality is that even 15' apart, when handsfree the two phones are picking up and sending the same background noises to each other all slightly out of synch, a classic recipe for feedback howl.

Yes, the mute button is one answer. Picking up the handset is another good cure or switching to headsets.

Or use the conference bridge and don't use speakerphone at all (by far my preference, especially with headset)

Nothing like waiting for the last minute. Polycom conference phone would be my choice.
