Hi,

We have 2 sets of data that needs to be deployed separately into 2 LES9.7.1 instances. However, is there a way for users to search from one instance and get results from both in a single webfront?

in 971 I believe it is a module you buy called "Livelink Remote Search". In 10 and higher it is part of the livelink offering. For years livelink search is an API on top of the product with tight integration so people think of it as can only be used for livelink. In fact it is made and marketed similar to the lines of the google search appliance so if you are basically a little experimenter all that the search module remote is doing is this

Hi thanks for your reply =)

I did a quick look at the html form. I'm not sure if I understand this correctly, it submits the form to one single livelink instance. What happens if I need to submit to two instances and federate the results from both? Can I work on this html to do that?

Before we go into purchasing Livelink Remote Search, I have to make sure we have explored all the options available to us with what we have.

I found googling it is possible to post to 2 websites so that maybe an option.if I were you I would somehow use a little programming tool so one can receive those two xml streams and put it properly somehow
