CR XIR2, Oracle 9
I would search the Knowledge Base for this but I'm not sure how to form the question...
In CR10, there were a couple of time-savers that seem to have disappeared in XIR2. I am wondering if anyone knows how to activate these or if they are just GONE ???
1) In CR10, clicking the down arrow button in the Font Face box would let you use a keystroke as a list filter. For example, if the default font was Times New Roman and you wanted to switch to Arial, you could just hit the "A" key and the list would re-sort itself to the "A"s so you could quickly select Arial. If you kept spelling Arial, the list would narrow down. This is a pretty common function in Windows (I think it is called auto-complete or something like that.) In XIR2, no filtering occurs so you have to scroll to your target font (which can sometimes be difficult to locate).
2) When making multiple field selections for common formatting, a keystroke would auto-select the function. For example, if you selected an entire row of detail fields and wanted to make them all the same size, you could right-click and hit the "S" key and the Size menu would automatically pop up with the first item in the list already selected ("same width"). In XIR2, you have to move the cursor over each item to select.
Is there any way to re-capture these features ?? I did a quick scan of the registry but did not see anything that caught my attention.
Thanks
