Hi,

I have an SQL module licensed on my Legato server, it was being used to back up an SQL server, however, I wanted it to back up a different SQL server. I removed the SQL client from the group and left only the SQL client that I want to back up. Now I get a message in the monitor window that says:

server info: The feature "Networker Module for Microsoft SQL Server/9" is not properly enabled for client xx.xx.net

Any idea's as to how I can enable it?

If you are using Networker 7, one SQL licence is for one SQL server index (not true for Networker 6).
As long as you have browsable data for a SQL server, you can't save another SQL server...
You probably have to buy another SQL licence.

Is it possible to delete the browsable data in the index for the SQL server that I do not want?

Yes of course
But it is not necessary, you have only to remove the client you don't want.

You always needed one SQL license for each SQL server you are backing up, even in v 6.x.

It may not have been enforced... but that's another story.

That's the thing. I've tried to remove the client and there is still no luck, same error. Any idea's?

Try to remove the module licence and add it again.
This will initialize the authorisation for the new SQL server.

That worked!! Brilliant thanx...
