Today at our office, a few hours into the workday I had the infamous "Inactive Feature" when trying to use F981 and F983. This was the first time that I had ever had this happen. Thankfully I came to this forum and was able to find the resolution.

However, my question is if anyone knows what caused this to happen? I fixed the problem by unplugging and plugging the power cord back in. I noticed the red LED was now lit, but it wasn't before. I didn't notice any power flickering or anything in the office. The rest of the phone system was fine the whole time.

So any ideas on what caused it? I'm trying to see if it was just a glitch, or if the unit may be going out.

Thanks,

Bob

My thought was power source, power strip (if plugged into), power supply and then the voicemail itself.

You need, if you do not have one,to install a UPS they are prone to lock up when a power spike or brown out occur.

Flash is prone to issues like that even on a UPS after so many surges etc (taking a beating).
A lot of times they simply default programming so your lucky.

Depending on your KSU software version depends on replacement type.

Ever see this on the call Pilot, I seem to have the same thing on a Call Pilot 150, it locks every couple days.

The odd one.
With CP the original PS was 1.9 volts 3 prong and needs to be replaced with 8 volt 2 prong.
NTAB3456 or NTAB3456AM

However if does not resolve then CP replacement is in order....not a software issue.
