Hi there,

I am about to install a new E2K3 front end server and want all inbound/outbound (internet) mail to flow through this server, what do I have to configure on the FE/BE to accomplish this. I only have one domain and am only using one BE server. Both servers are on the internal network. The FE will also host OWA, OMA and secure IMAP in addition to all SMTP traffic flowing through it. I cannot seem find any documentation on the SMTP configuration to allow all mail to flow through the FE.

Thanks,

Point your MX record to the Front End Server to have mail flow through it.

I hope you find this post helpful.

Thanks Mark, that will work for inbound from the internet but I am not sure what is required to send all mail from the BE through the FE. I am hearing that I may need to create a bridgehead and set up routing groups and connectors however thought this was not required when only using one BE and only have one email domain?
