I'm having a problem I have seen here before with no resolution. It seems silly that this doesn't work, but here is my situation. I need to hunt/FDN calls from one extension to an offsite number. This works fine, except when that person does not answer or is busy, the call comes back to my VM system instead of going to theirs. I have SFA set on my phone, but its my understanding SFA only applies in a forward all calls situation, not in a HUNT or FDN call. How can I make the call stay at the other end?

I even went as far as to HUNT/FDN to an ACD to my VM system callpilot application builder that then transfers the calls offsite but they still bounce back if the far end is busy. This is true whether I HUNT/FDN to 9,XXX-XXXX or to an ACD with NCFW pointed at 9, XXX-XXXX. Is it possible to make this work? I am running v4.5, with callpilot 5. Let me know, thanks!

SFA applies to forward no answer calls. But I don't think that is your problem. I think your problem is the type of C.O. you are connected to. I'm betting it's a DMS and you are probably set up custom.

If it were a CO problem, how would I approach them as far as a trouble ticket? If I explain what is happening like I did here, they will just blame my system but I'm pretty sure I've ruled that out. I'm not sure what DMS is, or if there is another option?

A DMS is a Nortel CO Switch. If your D-channel config is set for D100 or D250 then it is set up custom. I think the integration between the 2 is causing your issue. Do you have any other trunks in your system that may just be an analog trunk without a d-channel. If so you could forward to the ACOD of that trunk route followed by your number and see if that works.

I am fairly certain the CO is a Nortel switch. Is there something they can change at the CO to correct this or is it the nature of Nortel? I don't have any analogue trunks to the PBX, just the PRI to the CO.

Not sure if there is anything you can change. I have run across issues before with Nortel CO's and there is 1 table that they could change in the CO. It's in the LTDEF table and they need to make sure SL1 profile is in there.

This is my D Channel config, I don't see D100 or D250 in it anywhere:

Yep, your right. It's set up NI2, not custom. Shoots that theory to hell.

Darn, thought we were on to something. I tried sending FDN and HUNT to an ACD that points at my cell phone, and when not answered, it went to my cell phone VM just fine. Could it be an issue that the phone system of the off-site location is also a Nortel with a callpilot? They have SFA,FNA, MWA, etc in the class of service on the far end. That PBX is not linked to mine in any way shape or form, I am sending calls over the PSTN to it through the CO.

So you off site FDN to a number on another Nortel PBX through the PSTN. If she answers that number in that PBX it works fine. But if that phone is busy or goes unanswered it comes back to your voice mail? Maybe you need to have someone look at the programming in that PBX.

I'm having them send me the TN of the phone I'm forwarding to. However, I duplicated this scenario on my PBX, and it doesn't work for me either. I set FDN/HUNT to an ACD that dials 9 + my desk phone number. My phone rings, but when it rolls to voicemail it does not go to mine, it tries to go to a mailbox for the original number. Wierd that it works when sending calls to my Verizon cell phone, but not out and back into my own phone switch.
