Hi everybody,

Recently, I reinstalled all my software on a machine from scratch. The OS is Windows 2000 and I have Windows 2000 Office Professional on it as well. I installed Faxserve 5's fax client onto the machine, and whenever I receive a fax now, I get an error complaining about not being able to find a form, so it looks for Outlook forms instead. I am able to open the faxes however.

Then, if I try to forward the fax, I get "The Operation Failed" with no further explanation.

I have tried to uninstall both Office and Faxserve to no avail. With the office uninstall, I even used Microsoft's "Erase2000" utility.

Any ideas? Thanks!

Ben

FAXserve client installs a form named viewfax to your Outlook. It's an setting based on the user profile.

Go to Outlook ->Tools->Options->Other->Advanced option>Customer forms. Delete the "Viewfax" form from personal form.

Also clear the cache file. Move c:\document and settings\<user name>\Local settings\Application data\Microsoft\FORMS\fRMCACHE.DAT out of that folder. Close and re-open Outlook. If you saw a subfolder named "View fax" create there. Delete it.
