Faxing on MM 5.2

Hello,

This is a new install MM with 5.2.

Can't seem to get faxing to work.

Dial into the MM on a mailbox from a fax the greeting gets cut off as the MM recognisese the fax beep.

However, the fax machine doesn't seem to recognise the MM as a fax and nothing is sent and it goes for a retry.

MM notifies the user they have a fax message of 0 pages.

Also MM fails to send faxes for printing prob because there is nothing to send though.

Anyone any experience with this?

New service pack on the CM and patches on the MM.

Can now get a fax to be sent to a mailbox and when you request delivery you get a cover sheet only and a fax error with the actual message.

This happens on one type of fax machine on another don't get the cover sheet either.

Both types can send a fax into a mailbox sucessfully, well at least I think so.

The mailbox says it has a fax of one page and two pages sucessfully delivered when sending out.

Is there any was to sand a fax to an email instead of printing via a fax machine?

Or does anyone know how to resolve the problems above?

We are having a similar issue on a MM5.1 certain fax machines can not retrieve faxes from their mailbox.

There are a few differneces we are using SIP integration and have a Exchange 2007 backend.


Another issue we've noticed with faxing is that certain fax machines can't send to certain DIDs however if you send to another DID it will most likely work.
