No, you don't want to do that. FAXA pertains to ISDN (ISDN call is generated with 3.1 KHz Bearer Capability_). Not a feature for standard analog line.

Sorry perhaps I don?t undeerstand the Problem. Is it a analog PSTN line or a FAX Port from the Meridian.
Is it a Meridian Port. we have Had Problems to sent Faxes to other PBX Ports outside !

DO have a PRI on the PBX or a analog PSTN lINE for the FAx

Sorry if I Understand you !!!

Thanks

FAX lines generally do not use transfer or conf features - I generally change XFA to XFR - will prevent some of those misterious calls to console

checkerpig, switchy is trying to program an analog port off his PBX for a fax line. As Reusser says, leave off transfer and conf features; they are most often just unnecessary and sometimes just open up the line for hackers. Otherwise, it's just a simple analog line. If for some reason you are also using a PSTN line, it still is not a FAXA situation, unless this is ISDN in your PBX.

Thank you Sandyml !
But we have had the situation that we can?t receive Fax from other Faxlines !
Than we changed the FAXA Prompt to allowed and we can receive them. No more Problems. It also depends on Bearer capability ( IN german: Dienstekennung?) !
Maybe the other side had a wrong choice for their Port ?

Can this be a reason !

Thanks for you help !!!
