hi all, is it possible to route faxes over sip. I use voipbuster, and I have a 500 on 5.08

thanks tom

Fax works reasonable well over SIP if your SIP Supplier supports T38 fax protocol (not as well as PSTN though) if not some will do Fax to email for you...at a cost obvoiusly :)

I do faxes just fine on G.711 as well. I set my fax server to 9600bps and works like a charm. I've yet to find a SIP provider in the U.S. that supports the implementation of T.38 in the IP Office.

make sure that your analog port is set to fax or use the "dail fax" shortcode.
