Fax Manager

Hi, I just installed message manager on my computer to test befor deploying to the rest of the company. The desktop works great displaying the messages and calling my phone when prompted on the screen. Faxes show up in the GUI but they ring on my phone first. Is there any way to set up faxdetection so that it is recognized as a fax and is directed straight to my voicemail. Using a different DID with an X-port defeats the purpose of trying to save the company money so we're trying to do this on the same DID.

A second DID is the only way that I know of to accomplish what you want. The switch doesn't know that it's a FAX call until after you answer it and get FAX tone in your ear. You add the 2nd number on the change subscriber form in the Intuity.

Are you using your sound card under OPTIONS to play your voice mails. Not to much you can do about the hand shake in the ear, but transfer it to your own ext a let it go through to vm. We are looking to set it up to show up on OUTLOOK instead of MM. Just one less app. to set up and train the user on. Wisdom is Knowledge
