we have faxes connected to ipo 500 and everytime we send fax and if the line on the other end is busy it rings to a users phone extension.
i checked the ICR destination which points to the Fax extension.

is there something i am missing somewere?

Fallback?
Foreard on busy?

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

in the ICR Destination is the fax extension(505) and Fallback Ext is a huntgroup ext(255).
i checked the fallback huntgroup(255) in the user list i only have the fax extension(505).

i didnt see forward on busy or anything like that in the ICR or HG.

Check user 505 and then the tab forward.
But there is no need for a group as fallback the way it is now.

i checked the forward tab in user 505 and nothing there all fields are blank and nothing checked.

the reason we have the HG as fall back because if i take that out and lets say i am receiving a fax and at the same time someone else from outside dials that fax # it comes up as unknown number. so thats why its set like that.
Fallback to HG and that HG Queuing is turned on.

Start monitor and recreate the fault then post the monitor log here :)

You are talking about sending faxes, so Incoming call route has nothing to do with it, according to that trace the Fax on 505 actually dialled the user it didn't forward a call to him :)

i think i might have figured out the issue.
for now i created a new ARS going out and assigned it to the FAXMAIN500 user (under ShortCodes).

the other thing is when people send fax they might be dialing # insted 9and# so that case 201 is one of the area code and when someone starts fax they probably dial '120'1 and seems like that is going to the users ext then.

i am not at the location but will check it out if that is the issue.

Thank you guys for all your help on this.
