We currently have fax forwarding setup between 2 points that are on the same DN. We would like it to roll over after a certain number of rings to another DN. Currently that DN is the HUNT but it is not rolling over to it.

We would like it to roll over to that DN after 6 rings. Below is the Nortel prt of the set. Any help would be much appreciate.

Tried CLS FNA and CLS FTR and was getting errors.

SCH0341
SCH3211

Is there another procedure for CLS ****, or am I doing something wrong?

It may have to have mwa, even though there is no mailbox, for the FNA and FTR FDN xxxx

Tried the MWA as well, same errors. Also, how can I see the breakdown on the number of rings before it rolls over? Thanks in advance.

FDN XXXX yes, CLS must be MWA or FNA
FDN is only used if customer options FNAD=FDN, FNAT=FDN and
FNAL=FDN are set in LD 15 CDB.

SCH3211 ---FDN not allowed unless COS is FNA or MWA

HUNT only hunts when busy, so would not forward after a number of Rings.

We set both FDN and HUNT to contend for both busy and no answer conditions.

When I find myself on the road less travelled, it just means I'm lost.

CLS FNA or CFXA for external
FTR FDN xxxx or xxxxxxxxxx

As you can see up top, FND is in the CLS, could that be causing me to not be to add CLS FNA?? If so, is there a way to remove that CLS?
When I enter cls fna xxxx an error is returned. Is there another way to do this or am I entering incorrectly?

Thanks!!

put mwa first, then fna, which toggles fnd, see if that will fly, if it does , then move to the ftr fnd xxxx

not to be confused with fnd in cls - forward no answer denied/ or allowed.

fdn ftr is forward dn.

You need to put in the cls FNA only not FNAxxxx, then your phone will foward on a no answer condition.Try FTR CFW xxxx also

Thanks To all that landed a hand!!!! I'm going to have to get someone to take a look at this pbx system. For whatever the reason, I was not able to add FNA to the CLS. This morning, went in, repeated what I tried yesterday and voila! It worked. of course after that all commands were accepted. Again, thanks to all of you guru's there. Keep up the great work!!!!

first you need to check the following commands

in your customer data

ld 21

RDR_DATA
OPT CFO CFRA DSTD PVCA CWRD
FNAD FDN
FNAT FDN
FNAL FDN
CFTA YES
CCFWDN
CFN0 4 (call forwarding for fdn and hunting for example 4 rings)
CFN1 6 (call forwarding for fdn and hunting for example 6 rings)
CFN2 4

then in your telephone check the prompt

RCO X (where X is the number of CFNX in your customer data)

best regards

sorry i forgot to write that the change in your RDR_DATA is for all telephones, usually the most of telephones use CFN0 = RCO 0

then you can change the CFN2 for example to 6, and in your telephone you can put RCO 2, and the HTA, FNA clases of services, besides FDN XXXXX and HUNT XXXX
