Shouldn't I be able to print to that "Nortel Fax" driver that got put in when I installed desktop messaging? Thanks to you guys, I ca receive faxes in my Outlook but when I try to send a fax, it fails with no helpful message as to why,

Is there something else to configure for outgoing?

When I open any document and select print, I can choose Nortel Fax and it will even bring up a page so I can choose a coverpage and enter a fax number to send to but when I hit Send I get an hourglass for a few seconds and then "Call Pilot was unable to send the message" and asks if I want to save it. Nothing else...

Check if the FRL alows to make outgoing calls, and also check on your PBX if the CallPilot ports class of service alow to make calls

can you be more specific as far as the setting goes? I get the same error and i checked everything i could with no luck in ever sending a fax.

Thanks

LeeMcCauslin...turn on callpilot trace when you are trying
to fax and it will tell what part of the fax is failing.
hope this helps

When i try to print to nortel fax print icon... i get a pop up that lets me select how to send the fax... If i select fax it just comes back quickly with an errot that callpilot desktop messaging failed to send fax...

with Sending through outlook, first of all it won't let me type just the phone number and then if i send it somehow anyway, it comes back with the admin email saying it's undeliverable... Is there any setting i'm missing?

boostinfd..go into the pbx ld 20 prt 2008 one of your agents
for callpilot look at the tgar and ncos make change the tgar
and ncos on your telephone to same as the 2008 and see if you can make a call to the number you are trying to fax to.

i can make a call to the fax number i have... but it doesn't do anything when i print with nortel fax to it... I think it's something software related or a call pilot setting...

When i dial the fax number it says please start the fax transmition etc...

boostinfd...do you have fax seats in your keycodes and
look at your mutimedia channels do you have channels that
are for fax they will look like a fax machine

Which tgar and ncos should I be looking at? My fax has the same tgar and ncos as my desk phone. The fax number is on a phantom loop with DCFW to a multimedia CDN. multimedia CDN also has DFDN but I'm not sure what that is for - I only know I couldn't add the CDN without giving it that DFDN. Do I need to change something in ld 23 for that CDN?

Thank you!

LeeMcCauslin...you have 2008s set up as your agents for
callpilot they have tgar and ncos too.make sure they are setup tolet you dial out

That's where I'm losing you. I don't know of any 2008s set up as agents for anything.

LeeMccauslin...what is your callpilot server is it 201i.1002rp or
703t ?then take look at your pbx it will be those channels
that should be programmed as 2008s.
