Fax Extension Help

Greetings All.

I'm having a problem with the fax extension on a Partner V 7.0. I have the Auto-Attendant set to transfer fax calls to extension 13. The call completes and the Auto-Attendant transfers the call to ext. 13 and then the call disconnects before completing the fax. Is there any other settings needed to be set??

Also, can the Partner do an unsupervised conference

You can assign a FAX extension in two different ways, and you should only use one, not both.

You can put the FAX extension in Hunt Group 8, or you can specify a FAX extension in the Auto Attendant.

Either way, when the Auto Attendant detects CNG tone, it will automatically transfer the call to the FAX extension.

So when it disconnects, do you get a part of the incoming FAX, or does the call transfer from the AA to Ext. 13, and fail straight away?

Unsupervised conference? Where you set up two outside parties in a 3-way call, and then drop off leaving them connected? Sort of.... if you don't have music on hold, you can set up a 3-way call, and put it on hold. If you have Reliable Disconnect from the phone company, it should disconnect when everyone hangs up.

I ahve it programmed for fax extension in both programs. Which shoud I use?
