FAX DN forward to POTS line 2

I have a site in Oklahoma City (I'm in Vegas) that has opened up an annex building to their call center. This is temporary until January or February.

The group wants to take their FAX machine (DN 6054) with them, however there is no Meridian equipment being installed in this annex to keep it on the network.

I have tried to out the 500 set and rebuild 6054 in LD 23, setting NCFW to 9XXXXXXX (a cell phone for testing purposes) and MAXP to 1. When I dial 6054, it would say, "You have been forwarded to the voicemail system, however the user at extension 6054 does not subscribe to this service".

I have also tried to create a CDP DSC in LD 87 with a new RLI and DMI in LD 86. I DEL 10 and INST 1XXXXXXXXXX for the cell phone. All I got here was "Meridian Mail, Mailbox?" as if I had created a new access number for Meridian Mail.

I have also tried to HUNT with HTA in CLS but the cell phone never rings. I hear ringing on my end and the pause after 4 rings like it's being re-directed, but nothing comes through.

I even tried CLS=FNA, FTR=FDN but I got an SCH error. I tried FTR=CFW 16 but it doesn't allow me to enter in the number. As soon as I hit the space bar after the 16, it carriage returns back to ITEM.

What the heck am I doing wrong?

The system is an Option 11 Release 23. If Phantom is the way to go, I need full step-by-step instructions, as I've never built a phantom loop before from scratch. Thanks in advance.

Mike

you didn't do anything wronge, you missed one step, for a set you'll need cfxa in class, but the strange thing is going to vm when you dial 6054, you might check rdr data, but it would be strange to see that have a voice mail dn as intercept. are you dialing the 4 digit dn or the did, if it's the did, the trunk to trunk is more then likely blocked, if your dialing the dn, and the station can dial 9-1xxx + then you can make it go, check the tgar targ, make sure the number is marped on the set, I'm sure you have since you've outed it at least once. do you have any other calls forwarded to a ld, that will tell you where to start. a work around is to forward the acd to the acod + the number. the fact that you can't set ftr 16 is a key on the analog.. answer a few of these questions and i'll get back to you.. where in vegas?.. i worked out there for about 5 years, i helped with the dunes NT switch and the new install for the barbery coast, i was there when the mgm burned, i left their to help with the install with paramont studios in LA.. worked up in san fran for a year after that. used to be a lot of $$ doing large jobs

It is CFXA in CLS. I forgot to mention that I did that step also.

Here is the RDR:

I tried it both ways (4 digit and full 10 digits).

No other Analog DN's are currently being forwarded. The digital lines work okay for external forwarding.

I'm up in the Summerlin (Northwest part of the valley) area of Vegas. Moved here about 5 years ago from the Bay Area.

If you build it as an acd dn you will need to check to insure that the NCOS of the inbound lines is high enough to reach the number. Also RTA in CDB OPT. Are these trunks supervised both in and outbound?

For the ACD solution, in the NCFW, try putting in the trunk grp ACOD plus the phone number instead of a 9 and see if that does the trick for you.

ftr fdn 88888888.. the cfa in class FTR=CFW 16 is a bad command..

A small note..to forward an analog extension to an outside number..you first do need the cfxa in the cls and then to activate forwarding you need to directly connect a butt set or analog phone to the TN and manually use the phone command #1 + the number to forward and then hang up...!

Prior to that, you do need to set FTR CFW 16 on the analog extension programming.

Why not build a phantom? DCFW to the external number?

Thanks Stacyjo5, but as listed in the original post "If Phantom is the way to go, I need full step-by-step instructions, as I've never built a phantom loop before from scratch. Thanks in advance."

not fam with Summerlin, liked henderson and bolder area, spent lots of time rock hounding in red rock canyon.. the bay area is a crazy place, but full of energy..to build a phantom just build it like any other loop but at the supl prompt add w20 if i remember right, but you can also use a data port such as 20 0 0 16 for a phamton set

When I do a stat on 19, I only get 0 through 15 on the analog. The digital give me 0 through 31. I guess I'll try the Phantom Loop and I'll post back the results.

Okay, so it looks like I successfully created the Phantom Loop 96.

Now the problem I am having is I see a fast flash of Test Phantom on my set, but then it goes to a fast busy. Where do I go next? NCOS 5 is international unrestricted and TGAR 0 is the default on everything in-house. Did I need to do something special with the new Phantom Superloop? Here's what i have tried:

Then I compared it to SUPL 4:

REQ PRT

SUPL SUPT SLOT XPEC0 XPEC1

004 STD LEFT 02 0 1 -- - -

Then when I tried to change anything, I got:

REQ CHG
TYPE SUPL
SUPL 96
>ERR SCH6441

SCH6441
Cannot change an existing phantom superloop since there is no data

I'm doing this locally in my switch before dialing into OKC so I want to make sure this works locally first. What did I miss? Thanks.

you lost me whenyou built a set on 61 0.. build a phantom on 96 0..test from that tn

With a phantom tn, it enables you to forward two/more DID numbers to one analog set. The problem I see in your program is that you have used FDN after FTR which is normally used for No answer scenarios and Hunt(busy). Phantom TNs are just used for call forwarding all calls not for busy , or no answer scenarios. It should programmed as below:

FTR DCFW 8 94933520

DCFW is known as default call forward, and 8 is the number of digits followed by the number to be call forward to.

Hey Shroud, Wahoo! That was the missing step. Thank you so much.

Johnpoole,
Sorry, I should have been clearer. I am on an Option 11. I tried to build it on 96 and got an error stating out of range. I looked through the posts and I found in thread798-788167 that Phantom Loop 96 corresponds with cards 61, 62, 63, and 64 on an Option 11.

Uh oh. I guess I spoke too soon. While this set up does work in Las Vegas, when I try to create a new Phantom Loop in OKC, it fails.

Here is the printout from LD 22:

Then when I go to create the Phantom Loop in LD 97, I get:

It is an Option 11 on Release 23. Thanks.

Some additional information I just discovered while trying to build 6055 as an ACD. When I call 6055 in OKC without it being programmed anywhere, it defaults over to MerMail. After I build it as an ACD, it still goes to MerMail. So the ACD programming is not following the NCFW entry.

who programed that, sounds like vnr (vacant number routing) is pointed to mail..do-able but not very smart. did you check ld 49 IDC, that entry leaves a dn in the ludn table

Is that one of those things that must be done from Port 0? Their SEB is on Port 1 and I can't get past CUST. I tried 0 as well as carriage return past. Both options give me SCH codes.

But, besides this issue, what would keep me from building a Phantom Loop on this Option 11?
