I'm setting up a computer that needs to be an apache, ftp, sendmail, ssh (just because i want it), and oh yeah DNS server. I currently have a Redhat 9 box doing the job and an untested Mandrake 9.1 box on standby. Problem is I lost my PC when I set this up, you know the "we need it yesterday" line. Redhat is so far my prefered os but if anyone could tell of a good distro that is mabey a little slimmed down to run on a say PII 333 256MB, it would be of great help.

That was depending on how many user do you want the linux server to handle your apache, sendmail and DNS server.
The good solution is you separated mail server and webserver. You can join the dns server with mail server.
Is this the answer for your question ?
Good Luck....:)

It does not have too many users, myself, each server and say 5 more for mail only. I guess what I was asking is which will do it's job and nothing but it's job. Right now I'm just installing lilo, kernel and each package one by one. I was just hoping there was a distro that was easier to set up than all this cmd line configuration. Maybe that'll be my next time killing project, putting an installation script to this madness. I've also found webmin to be a great help in this process.

And of course after all time wasted editing text files, I find the magic distro. EnGarde is a great litte webhosting version with features like web server, ssh server, ftp server, dns server, ntp server, web setup/management and a very easy to use installer. Thanks EnGarde.
