fatal error LNK1104

I'm a newbie to c++ so please bear with me...

I'm trying to compile the directshow samples with Platfrom SDK (AMCAP) using C++ toolkit and am getting fatal error LNK1104: cannot open file atlthunk.lib

a search of my computer reveals it doesn't exist and google turned up few pointers...

Any help greatly appreciated
