Hi all,

I am supporting several restaurant's online ordering that integrates with their Aloha POS. Part of this process includes running iber.exe on the Aloha server. Recently a couple of sites have been getting errors in their iber debouts saying "Fatal error: Failed to register station name, error 0x9". Now, I read old threads here and they were really useful. What it sounds like it could be is either a networking issue, iber is trying to run more than once, or the lanacfg needs to be set to 0. Here's what I do know for sure. If I reboot the Aloha server, the error message goes away and the iber instance runs and stays running. But it seems like not much time passes (a day or so) before the iber crashes and this error comes back. Any thoughts or suggestions from the wise?

Many thanks in advance for reading my post.

Along with lanacfg problems i've seen the problem when iber.exe gets loaded more than once. when iber is minimized then someone starts iber again it will cause this problem.

Are you running iber in a batch file? If yes, and you do not have your environment variables and such setup correctly, the program can try to run multiple times, thus causing the error.

Check your batch file.

Good luck.
