Dear Folks,

I am experiencing this fatal error since I have got my new PC at work. This is a brand new Dell machine with Windows XP Professional installed on it. I am using VFP 9.0 and I am getting this error regardless of what I am doing. Some times, I get this error while modify command a small prg file, sometimes while running a small script, sometimes while setting an index order etc. I am doing the same stuff on my notebook using same VFP 9.0 and not having this problem. It seems like it is having conflict with some other applications. Other applications that I using while I am using VFP 9.0 are Microsoft Outlook, windows explorer or Internet Explorer.
The message I get says it is having problem in reading a memory address.
Any idea or thought how to fix this will be highly appreicated.

Thanks
Regards,
AJQ

This doesn't seem to be a FoxPro issue, but a hardware issue.

I have experienced the 'fatal error' message only since using VisualFoxpro8.0, and on a a variety of machines. Does this mean that VFP8.0 is compatible with only certain types of pc's, or is it some kind of coding issue? I don't believe it can be a hardware issue. My thought is that there is a flaw in Version 8.0. Does anyone have any advice? It happens rarely, but as you know, rarely is once too often!

Thanks

I was getting the same error last week. I just deleted my foxuser file.
