There's an old joke with the punchline of "Well don't do that!" that seems to apply here, but there really isn't a lot more that can provided without additional information.
What Service Pack of VFP 6.0 are you running? (SP5 ?) What OS are you using? Was this a new install of VFP 6.0? What's been installed / updated since the VFP install? How much memory does this system have? What else is running on the system? Are the files local on the system, or are some (all?) on a network?
windows Me, 159 MB RAM, table file in data environment
is accessed through a mapped network drive, this problem surfaced after at least 2 years in which there was no problem, i've never installed a service pack, and it was a new install

it happens while accessing a screen (scx) file, only sporatically
- download it free or order the CD. There were a number of fixes made in SP 3, 4 and 5 that covered quite a few problems that "caused" C0000005 errors.
Next, if at all possible, consider moving to a developers OS - NT / 2000 / XP. I've found that many problems just don't happen on a "real" OS. While I still keep a Win98 SE system (PII 133Mhz) around for testing application compatibility, I can't imagine not using NT or now XP for the actual development.
