This was somewhat answered b4 but I still have the problem of this Fatal Error, "All of the possible directories for storing temporary files either don't exist or are readonly."
None of the temp files are readonly and I'm not sure how I go about fixing this error.

Hi,
The files that you want to look for aren't going to be .tmp files or any files with a ~ in their name. c:\temp is a good spot to start to look for .bak files as well as the directory in which your cad file is. You should also look for .ac$.
The locations will depend on where you have told autocad to place them.
If you are on a network you could ask you network person to help you find them.
I hope this helps.

Hey,
I have a problem...I'm working on 2002 and when I try to open a dwg that someone else worked on and it keeps giving me a fatal error.. Telling me that there are no Modeler DLL.
I tried to find it ,but have not success. Please help me

Unotech,
Sounds like you are missing a file that Autocad needs to run. Probably got erased or corrupted somehow. I'd just re-install acad unless you know exactly which one you need and where it is.

I have read from the Autodesk site that there can be troubles like this when the install path or support path of AutoCAD contains too many characters. You may need to reinstall ACAD in a less deep path (if this is your case). I hope this might help.

I found the answer to the fatal error involving temp files.
I had changed all the files in the temp folder that was readonly to archive and that didn't work but then I found that the folder itself was readonly and changed it, Bingo, problem solved. Thanks for everyones' kind efforts.

I can't find any file ac$ , which is probably the extension of a file I've been working for one week...
My computer freeze, and I can't find a clue of the file...
thank you for your attention
