Fatal Error 0E 0028: in VXD winachsf

We are getting Fatal Error 0E 0028: xxxxxxxx in VXD winachsf
(01) + xxxxxxxx on two Gateway Solo 1150 laptops running Windows 98 while trying to use AOL or JUNO. I have been unable to find any reference to the element winachsf.

Go into MSINFO32 and see if you have any hardware conflicts. If you do change it in the bios. If there is no conflics reinstall you soud card driver, and G-card driver.

I am also getting Fatel Exception 0E in "winachsf(01)" vxd. It occurres when AOL try to initialize the modem on Compaq Presario 1200T notebook, running Windows 98SE. Turning the onboard sound off does not make any diffrence.
