When I upgraded my computer from AMD k6-3-400 to an celeron 900 the following message appears on a blue screen every time i start up.
Fatal exception 0E has occured at 0028:xxxxxxx in VXD emu10k1(01) + 0001273E
I have found out that the emu10k1.vxd file is a driver for my sb live soundcard. When renaming the vxd file the computer works fine, but without any sound. Also replacing the sound card in a different slot doen not help.
According to the windows support site the problem is due to an outdated driver. But according to creative my driver is fully up to date and should work.
Anybody out there with suggestions...?
Thanx, Walter
