Hello, a co-worker of mine informed me that when using fat32 you shouldn't have partitions above 8gb. I have two 30's on my system at home and they are both fat32 and both have been partitioned to use the full space, i've never had any problems with them and one is at about 20gb used so far. Can someone let me know what the whole deal with this is, or direct me to a site that explains this. Thank you.

By the way my O/S is win98se

The 8gig limit was with the motherboard BIOS not FAT32.
Some of the older Motherboards BIOS's only supported up to 8gig drive sizes some manufacturers came with a BIOS update to correct it if the MB chipset supported it. Also some of the large hard drives over 8gig also had a limiting jumper in case you had a motherboard that would not support over 8gig. Hope this helps Glenn
