Hi All,

We got the following situation :

we are running a AIX 5.2L with a FAStT600 attached. When we increase the size of a logical drive on the FASt , the size of the disk on AIX doesn't increase, even if we run cfgmgr, the size remains the same.
Is there anything we forgot to do, or is there a specific command we must execute to see the increase also on our AIX ? All help is appreciated.

Thx in Advance,

RMGBelgium

You will have to remove the disk and then run config manager to pick up the new size. If you are already using the disk, create another disk with that space and extendvg.

I was browsing through the man pages of chvg when I found the solution to the problem...

chvg -g Volumegroup

The "-g" is appareantly a new feature in AIX5.2 , and this gets the job done.

It's a FAStT-added feature from AIX 5.2 onward

I hope it works...
Unix was made by and for smart people.
