Can you point me to a manual for the install and use of the FASTRAD. I tried pdf.textfiles.Com but it is not there.

Thanks!

I could not find it. was this manual for free or did I have to buy it?

You don't need no stinking manual just to install a RAD. (grin)

Just plug it in, wait about 30 seconds, dial Feature 9**, give it a password, confirm the password, press data, and follow the prompts. Set your baud rate to 9600 if you need to allow for direct access. It should automatically connect at higher speeds when calling in by remote.

If it already has a password assigned and you don't know what it is, power it down and disconnect it from the Norstar, open it up, take a piece of jumper wire and flash the negative side of the battery (which you will find sticking up on the mother board, looks like a big hearing aid battery) to the positive side a few times.

Put it back together, plug it in, power it up and repeat the process.

Thank you. Sounds easy. Do I connect it to a station extension port for programming or to a loop line?

Do I dial an ext. number like I do for Partner's RA or will it only work thru a loop line?

Connect to any open Station port. No connection for POTS line. You program the RAD, with Ftr9**.

It work out just fine. Can you direct me to a site with the Remote Access Software for a MICS 6.1?

Thanks!

I could not locate the exact download link for the NRU on the Nortel site. Do you have it?

After I shorted the battery, the display still asks for PASSWORD - what do you enter at this point ?

yes, but once you have shorted out the battery in the fastrad, what is the default password ? thanks

That's not realy the way to change the password.

Go to a 7310 phone on your system and change the

date to April 15, 1999 and then press release
Hit Feature 9**
hit left display key 5 times
hit center display key 6 times
hit right display key 8 times
press HOLD
press digit 2
press digit 1
press release
When the time and date comes back on the screen
reset to the curent date

After your done with that
Hit Feature 9**
you will then be given the option in the display screen to change the password which you can select. The password needs to be 8 to 10 digits long.

Thanks for the info, I just tried it and still get asked for a password ? I am in the UK and wonder if this thread is the problem thread799-975523 and what do you advise to do - thanks again
