FastRAD - Any Issues w/ Borrowing FastRAD from Another System?

Are there any issues with "borrowing" a FastRAD device from one Norstar M8x24 system to temporarily use on another Norstar M8x24. I need to leave the original system with the FastRAD attached in the exact same working condition, but I would like to borrow the FastRAD to do some configuration in a test environment on another system. So I guess what I'm asking is:

Is there any configuration information that is stored in the FastRAD device itself that could potentially be erased or changed?

Will removing/replacing the FastRAD cause any configuration information to change on the original working system?

Can I physically remove the FastRAD from the original system, do whatever I need to do with it on another system, then just physically plug it back into the original system and have the original system never know that it was gone?

Thanks in advanced.

I don't see why not, as long as you know the Fastrad's password. I would reset it to default, as long as i know how it's setup, i can always change it back when i'm done. The FAQ'S section has how to reset the fastrad.

Gabriel is correct. I just wanted to add that we have techs carry a RAD with them as one of their standard tools. The password stays with the RAD. That way, if there is a config password issue, or a system needs backed up, they just put it on the system and we work with them remotely. If a system does not have an extra port for the RAD, we just "Borrow" a phone port. When the RAD is then removed, the port retains all of the programming of the set that was on it originally.
