HELP
I have a Difinity with 2 8710 servers version 3.1.4. We are expieriencing fast busy on extension to extension calls within the same pbx. It is intermittent and I am having trouble troubleshooting. There are no errors and the telephone sets test good. The trouble moves to different extension each time so it doesn't seem to be the digital cards. Could it be tone cards?
Thanks in advance

How many Port Networks are there in your system? If there is more than one, how are they connected: fiber of IP?

If sounds like you're running out of some PBX resource, like time slots.

Agree with Kevin, It looks like a system resources issue. are you using G650 gateway with call classifier cards? To start with, check if the call classification is happening. Check the measurement reports to ascertain abnormalities..

Thanks for the replies
We have 5 port networks connected with fiber.
Could you let me know the commands to check resources such as time slots etc.
Thanks
Tom

If you clear events, then make test calls that fail, you won't have so many non-related events in the log

Command: display events
chose denial

Command: list measurements help

I cleared events and will wait for a failed call and let you know

Try using 'list measurements load-balance total [yesterday/today/last-hour]'. Look for blockage either within the Port Network or on the links connecting the Port Networks.

As mentioned, you may want to look at the 'list measurement tone summary [yesterdaay/today/last-hour]'.
