FAN OR HEAT SINK FOR PROLIANT CPUs

Does anyone have an opinion which works best on ML370 G1 933G CPUs or any CPU for that matter - a fan or a heat sink. I only have experience with sinks. Thanks.

370 etc. are designed to work with passive heat sinks. Airflow is taken care of by the system fans which may or may not be hot pluggable. There isn't usually room within a Compaq server for a CPU with a fan anyway.

I probably wouldn't have found this out intil I bought one with a fan.
