From what the f1 help notes say, fallback is suppose to operate within the time profile you created when it is in service. However, once it becomes out of hours, instead of hitting the destination, it automatically operates in night service mode where if I do not select anything, it should automatically go into VM.

So, it should look like the following:
In hours: Incoming call > collective hunt group > CFW busy > VM
Out of hours: Incoming call > collective hunt group > VM with no delay

However, my users are telling this is not the case. Instead, the calls still ring as if it were in the hours of operation.
Here is a picture for reference:
Am I going crazy or did I not understand this correctly?

A time profile switches between in service and night service, the out of service is done with a button/code only :)

In your picture the call will go straight to voicemail (if on) or the fallback destination in ICR when outside the time profile (in night service), it will not ring the group first, so yes you have misunderstood it completely :)

Wait... but thats what I intended to set it for...

When out of time profile (entered night service), it should go directly to VM and not ring any phone... VM is enabled for this particular group.

But you're saying I have to manually set a button to night service on/off?

From the f1 help menu:
"When In Service, calls are presented as normal. In any other state calls are redirected as below.
Voicemail

If no fallback group has been set but voicemail is enabled for the group, calls are redirected to voicemail.

A time profile can be associated with the hunt group. When outside the time profile, the hunt group is automatically place into night service. When inside the time profile, the hunt group uses manually selected mode."

Again, my users are telling me this configuration is NOT working...

It does work on just the time profile, but the group must be the first target for the call not an overflow and your time profile must be correct :)

Right and that is how i have configured it.

ICR goes straight to that group when the particular number is dialed. So far, under the configuration with fallback, it SHOULD work in such that when out of hours, calls go directly to VM.

No overflow just bare configuration as I have stated and shown in the picture.

However, I do not have the ICR fallback extension set. That from what I see is just another method in doing the same thing in my case. If they keep saying it doesn't work, I'll change everything back and not use fallback under groups>fallback and use ICR's fallback instead...

Otherwise, it looks correct

Then you have something else going on, trace it and see what happens or at least test it and see for yourself what goes on, some users have the ability to report the polar opposite of what's happening without even trying :)
