I've recently reinstalled XP Pro on my Dell Inspiron 1150 laptop and then downloaded all the drivers from Dell CD. For some odd reason, the letters and words in the MS-Word or Palm Desktop are fainter than they used to be (gray as opposed to black). While desktop appears perfect as are names of the files and objects themselves. Does anyone have any idea, what I can do to bring it back to sharp and bright font as I used to have before?
Thanks so much.

Make sure your display resolution and refresh rate are set to the screen native resolution and recommended refresh rate.

Also enable Cleartype, which i think is somewhere in display properties. Not sure because im on W2k at the moment.

If it's not on often Truetype fonts will look ok and errr.. ?unTruetype? fonts will look ropy
