================

We have a number of RPT Objects and Instances that are scheduled to run to PDF format in InfoView.

To ease navigation in different end-user browsers, the DEFAULT format on all of our RPT Objects and Instances is set to "Adobe Acrobat" with the "Create bookmarks from group tree" option checked.

This works fine if there are records and groups in the Scheduled Instance, but if the report has ZERO records in a particular instance - then the instance FAILS with the following error....

Error in File C:\Program Files\Business Objects\BusinessObjects Enterprise 11.5\Data\procSched\servername.reportjobserver\~tmp1f8451ecdbf3896c.rpt: Error detected by export DLL:

If we try to run the same instance with the same parameters to PDF format without the "Create bookmarks from group tree" option checked - then the PDF runs OK and shows the ZERO record count.

Is this a known-bug? Is there a fix or a work-around?

Thanks in advance!

I am only running the service-pack and patches for DST. It is hard for us to upgrade because we have 30+ .NET applications using the BOE infrastructure that all need to be tested/updated with each patch.

If anyone is running a higher service-pack of BOE-XI (R2) could you please try this scenario for me and confirm if it still fails.

SCHEDULE a RPT instance with parameters that will return no-data (eg. pick future dates in a historical data system) to be generated in PDF format with the "Create bookmarks from group tree" option checked.

Does the Scheduled PDF instance still FAIL with a DLL EXPORT error...?

Thanks in advance!
