Failure to go to VMX

This is a KXTD1232 ver5 with a TVP200 attached and set up as DPitts.
For example - EXT 201 If I set c/fwd B/NA to 265 and ring the DDI number pointed to 201 in Day service, or night service the call is correctly answered by the TVP200- leave a message ok etc.

Then if I try this DDI No several hours later - say 9pm.
I get RTNR.
(The DDI for 201 is set for both 151 and 152)

Also I have another DDI No. pointed to 265 in 151/152 for remote access to voicemail all the time. But as above at certain times it just rings and rings, no reply.
I have never come across this before.
Any ideas?

also make sure that the system is set for DDI in prog 420 and 429 for day and night on all lines
