Failed to update database 1

While configuring the TIVOLI database using server configuration tool, it gives error that it 'Failed to update the database'.There are no logs also available to check the error in this.

Also it is able to create the DB but fails while updating the same.any ideas or links would be of great help.

One thing I can think of (your TMR is UNIX, right??) - Perissions in $DBDIR. They have been a pain for me in the past. I'm not sure what the proper settings are, but I'm sure they're out there somewhere!

Nope its windows.but somehow after restarting m/c etc it seemed to be able to perform this step.
