I have e7 v2.7 running and recently bought a new PC with Windows 7. I transferred the software across and tried to retrieve all definitions from WS01, but i keep getting the above messages.Both systems show as having an active connection to each other but today i can't complete the EOD process, andy help please

failed to retrieve newer definitions on this network / Failed to retrive all definitions from WS01

Please can anyone assist me with the above problem. I am not unable to increment a new business day and also my epos are running slow. i know this is a very unique problem as i have not found this anywhere on the internet.

When you say you transferred it across, you are talking about the BOC, right?
Do you have the original BOC still? Instead of doing a retrieve all definitions, have you tried just copying the database from one to the other? E7 uses a file based database that can be transferred around without any problems.
When you installed it on the new BOC, did you use the installer, or did you just copy the software? If you used the installer, did you install 2.7, or did you go with the latest installer (MR 3.2)?

First thing you should check would be to make sure from the PC that all your workstations are showing as active on the network and status.
The make sure the PC is showing as active on both status and network from all of your workstations.
If any of them are out of sync eg. The PC shows as inactive on some but not others.
Make all workstations and pc inactive from the pc and each individual workstation.
Once everything is showing as inactive. Make everything active again.
