failed to load msflexgrid from msflxgrd.ocx

I just distributed a vb app that uses a flex grid to 10 users. It works fine for all of the users except 1. On his machine I get an error-

372Failed to load control 'MSFlexGrid' from Msflxgrd.ocx. Your version of Msflxgrd.ocx may be outdated. Make sure you are using the version of the control that was provided with your application.

I have tried downloading the msflxgrd.ocx to the system32 folder and regestered it. But I still get the error. All users including the one that it does not work on use winnt 4.0.

Has anyone seen this error or know how to resolve the issue.

This brings back baaaaaaaaaaaad memories! ;-)

Had similar problems. You will probably have to find the older version for the machine where it doesn't work and unregister that one. Also unregister the new one. The register the new one again. Sometimes when you have multiple version registered, even if the file no longer exists, it hoses things up because of the registry entries.

Thanks for the response ArtiChoke unfortunately the problem did not go away I am still getting this same error. The only difference between this machine and the others is it has office 97 instead of office xp would that be part of the problem.
