Failed To Configure Your Server 1

I have inherited an Exchange 2000 box with the ArcServe v9 Backup Agent for Exchange Installed. When I try to configure the client it authenticates the user, but then fails with the following error message: "Failed to configure your server". Any hints to what step I might have missed?

Log on to your Exchange server as the service account before configuring it.

I have experianced this error and we discovered if Exchange on a memeber server then you need to create the same domain account & password locally on exchange server.
