Hello,

I have an HP rx6600 which seems to have a failed disk in a volume group, can someone let me know the steps for replacing this disk with regard to the LVM commands please?

Hello,

In the end I commented out the three failed mount points & rebooted the server. Once it came back I was able to remove the three failed logical volumes and volume groups. Removed the two failed disks and then replaced them with working ones, I had to perform some whizzy stuff with sasmgr and once all the new drives were being seen from ioscan I then just re-created the volume groups, logical volumes and file systems and restored the 300GB+ of data back and now all is fine :)

Cheers

Nick
