Fail to run ON-BAR

Hello,
I'm running networker client 6.1.Build.186 on HP-UX B.11.00 machine to backup my informix instances (Informix Dynamic Server Version 7.31.UC6A) to a Win2000 Server(Networker server version 6.1.1.Build.238). When I tried to do the database backup using ON-BAR. The system prompts me this error....

/usr/lib/dld.sl: Can't shl_load() a library containing Thread Local Storage: /usr/lib/libc.2
/usr/lib/dld.sl: Exec format error

Does anyone of you know how to solve this??? thanks in advance. I really appreciate your help very much.

I seem to recall this was also a problem at version 5. It is a type mismatch for shared libraries and you will find it on techdialog on the legato web site.

Thanks TDun for your info. I'm able to search from the LEGATO web page. However, I'm not sure where should I set the env for SHLIB_PATH. For the time being, I set this env in nsrdbmi and I re-run the ON-BAR backup again. Huh... the backup still prompts me the same error.... what should I do... pls advice. thanks

Are you using NMI 2.0?

We had a library problem for 5 months and solved it thru HP, Legato & our own effort. We just updated our HP-UX
11.0 patch level by applying a patch Bundle supplied by HP, and voila!

Hi GoTik, Thanks for your valuable info. Where can I get the HP-UX 11.0 patches? and can you pls list down the necessary patches that I should apply to the machine. thanks
