Hello,
I have Option 61, Meridian Release 13. Random problem in the area of recognizing ext. 7333. Salesperson reported that his customers are having problems with his ext., and one customer has to have the operator dial the extension to reach him. Redialing works I hear too. Can all these people be adding two many 3's or less? Any help in this area is greatly appreciated.

Exactly what problems are the salesman customers experiencing? WRT the customer that needs the operators assistance, are they calling from within NA or from Europe. We have had a problem like that with a few European countries. The solution that worked was defining a range in cdp for those digits (be it 1 + first digit of area code, 1 + two digits of area code, 1 + .......). The number was coming into the pilot but would have to be transferred. AJK

The nationwide customers dial our 800# that has an automated attendant that prompts to enter DID extension number. We receive thousands of calls per day on this 800# and this ext. 7333 is only one that has random problem. When the caller enters ext. 7333, Ms. Meridian will start.."that number cannot be reached from this service" message. Not every call has a problem when dialing this ext. It will happen if they enter 4 threes which is odd if everyone is doing that. Thank you for your response.

Is it a real number or a phantom? Is it going to Meridian Mail without ringing the phone first? Is 73XX part of your standard numbering scheme? BTW I was wrong what I told you about the cdp table. I should have said IDC. AJK

since that is an inbound line, check your dtr cards.. they are used by your trunks for inbound dtmf.. that would casue not only that problem as well as the random pattern.. test your dtr's

Ext.number is from one of the DID groups (7300-7399) that rings on a desk phone before voice mail. I printed TN and no error I can see. When the maintenance tech is onsite he can check cdp table, dtr cards, etc. as that is new area for me.

Sorry, when I said to print the TNB, I meant for you to post it here so we could see it.

Thanks for checking this tn:
